More of the murderer storyline, with Dennis being told quite firmly by Inspector Grace, that he thought he’d done it. "I'm interested in facts not opinions," said Grace, despite the fact that his whole case rested on a very flimsy coincidence with virtually no evidence at all. "Well, if there's anything I can do.." said a concerned and gasping Joycie, presumably because she had some first-hand knowledge of violent abductions. Though, as the only talent she seemed to have was tap dancing, I'm not sure how that would come in useful, unless to provide a diversion while Dennis makes a getaway after Grace decides he's responsible for sinking the Titanic and the Ripper murders.
Another classic Joycie moment, when she walked into the dining room and passed Jan and Anita at a table. Joyce: "Everything alright, ladies?" Anita: "Fine thank you, Mrs Barry." Joyce: "Carry on the good work, Sister." Wonderfully inappropriate dramatic music, when Joan told Anita to get on with her work, and the theatrical drum beat went "Dum-dum-dum-DUUUM", as if she'd just discovered a dead body or something.
Anita was shocked at the women's "no lagging" rule applying to a violent rapist like Frank, even if he put their lives at risk. "You mean you let people like that do what they like?" Er, only in Wentworth. Other female prisons would probably not have male rapists wandering around the female cells unsupervised. I'd hope, at least.
More of that perv-magnet Shane, who seems to attract child molesters every time he goes anywhere by himself. When he was at that man's house trying to make an escape, wasn't it lucky there was a handy saucepan of boiling water on the stove ready to throw, though I'm not really sure why, if they'd only just eaten in the cafe/bar. But even scalding water was not as painful as the long flashback sequences, allowing us to re-live the golden moments of Shane yelling his lines at Anny Joan at Luna Park.
Best bit of the whole episode had to be the lovely card Shane got from his step sister. Not only was it clearly written "To Robert", which was the actor's name not the character's (and this was held in front of the camera for some time), but the message inside read: "I hope you are feeling a lot better so I can bash you up. Get well soon. Tracy." And there was a lovely picture of a green-faced Shane with a full bowl of something colourful with the words "SICK BOWL" and an arrow pointing at it. Marvellous stuff, had me laughing for ages afterwards.
